Peer Support Training and Services

At Mental Health America of Nevada, we are deeply involved in recruiting, training, and providing peer support services that make a real difference in our communities. Our Peer Support Training Program equips individuals with the essential skills and knowledge to deliver compassionate, non-clinical support to those navigating mental health challenges.


Problem Gambling Counselor Training

Building Nevada’s Workforce to Address Gambling Addiction Mental Health America of Nevada offers specialized training to prepare professionals for certification as Problem Gambling Counselors. This program equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and clinical tools needed to effectively support individuals struggling with gambling addiction. Join us in strengthening Nevada’s behavioral health workforce and expanding access to problem gambling treatment across our communities.


Crisis Management and Training

Our Crisis Management  program prepares individuals to effectively respond to mental health crises with confidence and compassion. Learn crisis intervention strategies, de-escalation techniques, risk assessment, and resource navigation. You will learn how to provide immediate support, maintain a calm presence, and connect individuals to appropriate professional care. Equip yourself with the skills to make a difference in critical moments and help create a safer, more supportive community.


Household Wellness Coordination

Supporting Stability, Independence, and Peace of Mind at Home At Mental Health America of Nevada, our Household Wellness Coordination service is designed to assist individuals and families in managing the non-clinical aspects of daily life that impact well-being. This program supports households by coordinating care, scheduling essential appointments, and helping families stay organized—particularly when caring for older adults, individuals with disabilities, or loved ones navigating complex me
